India National Cricket Team veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was involved in a hilarious incident during the second Test against the England National Cricket Team.

Ravindra Jadeja shines with the bat

The World No.1 Test all-rounder Jadeja showcased a batting masterclass in the first innings and built a solid 203-run partnership with his skipper, Shubman Gill.

Jadeja batted with a positive intent while facing the England bowlers and attacked them from time to time. He was also engaged in some heated chats with Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes over running on the danger area of the pitch, but that didn’t affect his batting.

Jadeja scored his fifty off 80 balls and looked set for a big score. It looked like he would easily score a hundred, but the all-rounder was unfortunately cleaned up by Josh Tongue on the third ball of the 108th over.

Jadeja fell short of a well-deserved ton by 11 runs as he was dismissed for 89 runs off 137 balls, with 10 fours and one six.

Meanwhile, during the second innings of the match, Ravindra Jadeja stole the limelight for his hilarious wardrobe malfunction during the second over.

On the actual first ball of the second over, pacer Mohammed Siraj bowled a full-length ball to Zak Crawley outside off-stump that shaped away.

The Englishman got forward to defend it, and the ball went towards the left of Ravindra Jadeja, who got across and cut it off, but not before losing his trousers and leaving the crowd in splits.

Stokes will congratulate all of his bowlers – Mark Butcher

Speaking on Sky Sports, Mark Butcher said that the English skipper Ben Stokes would be happy that his bowlers stopped India before 600. He said:

“Stokes will congratulate all of his bowlers. They have worked mightily hard on a surface that hasn’t given much back. India fall short of 600.”

“Fresher bowlers, brand new ball and who knows? They may be able to get something to happen that we’ve not seen thus far, but it looks a pretty flat surface. Unlike England, they have those two specialist spinners in their line-up,” Mark Butcher added.

Meanwhile, Kumar Sangakkara said that the hosts would back themselves to bat well as the pitch on offer is a good one. He said:

“India have got a bounce in their step, they’re running onto the pitch. When you have the amount of runs behind them, it’s no wonder they look confident. But you can’t ask for a better pitch than this if you’re England, and there’s no Jasprit Bumrah as well.”
