Jasprit Bumrah sends back Saim Ayub:

Jasprit Bumrah bowled a short of length delivery and Saim Ayub looked absolutely clueless against it. He advanced down the track in order to play a big shot but ended up top edging the ball. Fortunately for Ayub, the ball flew over the fielder at third man for a six.

However, the India star had his man on the very next ball as he dismissed Ayub with a stunning yorker. It was a full inswinging delivery from Jasprit Bumrah and Ayub was quite late on the shot. The ball went on to hit the front pad even before the Pakistani opener could get his back down. The umpire had absolutely no hesitation in raising his finger.

As the umpire adjudged the batter out, Jasprit Bumrah had a brilliant reaction. The India pacer just stared at Ayub instead of celebrating the wicket before the latter decided to review. However, the replays showed that the on-field umpire was out and Ayub had to return to the pavilion.

Watch:

Bumrah was not done yet. On the final ball of the over, he also dismissed Pakistan captain Salman Agha to put India firmly in the driver’s seat. At the time of writing this report, Pakistan were on 14/3 in the 3rd over.

Ishan Kishan powers India to challenging total:

Earlier in the match, India finished the innings on 176/7 after being asked to bat first. On a pitch where most batters struggled to time the ball, Ishan Kishan played an exceptional knock. Even though Abhishek Sharma was out for a duck in the very first over, Kishan played aggressively and hit a 27-ball fifty.

He eventually scored 77 runs off 40 balls with the help of 10 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from him, the likes of Tilak Varma (25), Suryakumar Yadav (32) and Shivam Dube (27) also played useful knocks.
