Stuart Broad arrogantly guarantees Ashes 2027 win after humiliation in Australia

Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad has signed off from his commentary role after the recent Ashes 2025-26 series, where Australia secured a 4-1 victory. The legendary cricketer said that he enjoyed every moment of the experience in Australia, adding that there is a lot of joy in Test match cricket.

Ben Stokes and his England side went through a tough Ashes tour in Australia, where things unraveled both on and off the field. Poor performances, along with repeated controversies, kept hurting the team throughout the series, with head coach Brendon McCullum and Stokes also coming under focus.

I Loved Every Single Moment Of It – Stuart Broad

Stuart Broad wrapped up his Ashes commentary stint with SEN, saying the experience meant a lot to him. Broad shared that he enjoyed every part of it and felt the excitement and joy of Test cricket throughout, hoping listeners could sense that passion as well.

“I’ve loved every single moment of it. There’s a lot of joy for Test Match Cricket, and I’m sure the listeners can hear that,” Broad said.

Australia sealed the series in just 11 days of play by taking a 3-0 lead in the five-match contest. England managed a brief comeback with a win in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, their first victory in Australia since 2010-11.

However, England suffered another heavy defeat in Sydney. Fans and former players slammed the Bazball approach, poor accountability, and relaxed off-field behaviour. The team’s mid-series trip to Noosa, where players were seen drinking, added to the backlash and frustration around the tour.

England Will Win the 2027 Ashes At Home – Stuart Broad

Stuart Broad ended his stint with a bold prediction, confidently saying that England will win the Ashes when the series is played at home in 2027.

“England will win the 2027 Ashes at home. Good night,” Broad stated.

The next men’s Ashes will be held in England in 2027. While the exact dates are still unknown, the series will take place during the English summer.

The last Ashes hosted in England was played in 2023. Australia have not won an Ashes series in England since 2001, with their most memorable recent visit coming in 2005, when England regained the urn after a long wait.

Stuart Broad’s Legendary England Career in Numbers

He also made valuable contributions with the bat, scoring 3,647 runs in Tests, including one century and 13 half-centuries, with a highest score of 169. Broad represented England in 121 ODIs and 56 T20Is, taking 178 and 65 wickets respectively, and was part of England’s 2010 T20 World Cup-winning team.
