
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings in the latest weekly update released on Tuesday, July 29. Sciver-Brunt dethroned Team India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana after her impressive batting performance in the recent three-match ODI series.
India secured a 2-1 series victory over England in the ODI series, sealing the win with a narrow 13-run triumph in the decider. Nat Sciver-Brunt scored 160 runs at an average of 53.33. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana managed 115 runs in the three games but did not reach a half-century in any of her innings.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has returned to the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings after a stunning performance in the final match of the ODI series. The England skipper scored 98 off 105 balls in the third ODI in Durham.
Sciver-Brunt reclaimed the No. 1 spot with 731 rating points, three ahead of Smriti Mandhana. Notably, this is the third time in her career that she has reached the top ranking.
She previously held the No. 1 position between July 2023 and April 2024, and again from June to December 2024. While Mandhana had a decent series, her performance wasn’t enough to retain the top spot. She now sits second with 728 rating points.
Smriti Mandhana A Consistent Performer for India Across All Formats
Smriti Mandhana has been one of the most consistent performers in women’s cricket across all formats. She has amassed 4,588 runs in 105 ODI matches at an average of 46.34 with a strike rate of 87.83, including 11 centuries and 31 fifties.
Mandhana is at No. 3 in the ICC batting rankings in T20 Internationals. She has played 153 matches, scoring 3,982 runs at an average of 29.93 and a strike rate of 123.97, with 31 fifties and one century.
She has also made her mark in Test cricket, scoring 629 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 57.18, including two centuries and three half-centuries.
Harmanpreet Kaur Takes a Big Leap in ODI Rankings
Captain Harmanpreet Kaur climbed ten places to 11th among ODI batters after her match-winning century in the series decider. Jemimah Rodrigues also moved up two spots, reaching 13th following a consistent run with the bat.
Ireland’s Orla Prendergast delivered an all-round performance against Zimbabwe. She scored an unbeaten 67 in the second ODI, which helped her jump 12 places to joint 22nd in the batting rankings. She also broke into the top 10 ODI all-rounders, now placed at No. 10.
Deepti Sharma remains India’s top-ranked ODI bowler at No. 4, despite taking just one wicket in the series. No other Indian bowler features in the top 10. England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead the ODI bowling charts.
Ireland’s Gaby Lewis climbed four places to 14th among batters in the T20I rankings after scoring two half-centuries against Zimbabwe. Fellow Irish player Arlene Kelly also moved up four spots, reaching 30th in the bowling list.
