Mohammed Siraj breaks into elite 200 club: Full list of Indians with 200+ international wickets

Mohammed Siraj Jasprit Bumrah Anshul Kamboj

The 31-year-old India National Cricket Team right-arm pacer Mohammed Siraj has achieved a remarkable milestone in international cricket.

Mohammed Siraj has joined the legends of the India National Cricket Team in an elite 200 international wickets club with his performances in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

Mohammed Siraj completes 200 international wickets

Siraj made his debut for Team India in November 2017 in a T20I match against New Zealand in Rajkot. Since then, he has shone bright with the ball across all formats in international cricket.

The right-arm quick got his ODI cap in January 2019 and Test cap in December 2020. He quickly established himself as the all-format pacer for India and is currently regarded as the second-best pacer in the side, only behind Jasprit Bumrah.

Although he recently faced axing in white-ball cricket despite performing well for the team, there are very high chances that he might soon be seen in the blue jersey.

Currently, he is involved in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 against England and has bowled his heart out for India without worrying about his workload.

He is the only Indian bowler to play all five Test matches in the ongoing series, and the only other bowler who has also featured in all the matches is England’s Chris Woakes, who suffered a shoulder injury on Day 1 and got ruled out.

Mohammed Siraj has taken time to find rhythm, but overall, he has bowled quite well for the visitors and is currently India’s leading wicket-taker in the ongoing tour.

Siraj bagged 14 wickets in the first four matches and picked his first wicket in the fifth Test at the Kennington Oval by dismissing England stand-in skipper Ollie Pope.

On the fourth ball of the 25th over, Siraj bowled a sensational good-length delivery just outside off-stump to Pope that jagged back and hit the batter on the back pad.

The on-field umpire didn’t raise his finger, but the Indian team used a review, and the Hawkeye returned with three reds, which led to the England skipper’s dismissal for 22 runs.

By dismissing Ollie Pope, Mohammed Siraj became the 15th Indian pacer to bag 200 or more international wickets. His first international wicket was Kane Williamson, 50th was Matthew Potts, 100th was Ashton Agar, 150th was Ben Foakes, and Ollie Pope became his 200th scalp.
