He concluded by saying that he moves forward with leaving behind his past, respect for everyone involved, and hope for healing, understanding, and peace. He also respectfully requested that his personal life be treated with dignity and privacy.
After this post, Imad’s first wife alleged that in December 2023, he had forced her to abort her child in Lahore, calling him a murderer and claiming to have a video as proof. She also asked the people to boycott the games of Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, stating that no cheater or murderer should be allowed to escape accountability.
Imad Wasim was picked by Islamabad United
Imad currently plays only in the PSL and other franchise leagues across the world after retiring from international cricket. He will be back in action on 26th March, 2026, as the PSL starts. However, despite playing the Hundred last year, his participation in the England franchise league has been in doubt after India-owned sides were planning not to pick Pakistan players.
After joining Islamabad United, the all-rounder tweeted, “One team believed, thank you Islamabad United.” “This auction has sparked a fire in me. I’ve always proved my worth, and I will do so again. Every run, every wicket, every game. I’ll show on the field why I was worth the pick. Watch closely the reminder is coming.”
He has an experienced PSL career, playing in 101 matches, scoring 1,293 runs at a strike rate of 136.97, including seven fifties, and has claimed 77 wickets with the ball. Imad Wasim will surely look to add more of his experience this season.
