The wait is over. The full schedule of the Super 8 matches of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026 was released on February 18. The next phase of the competition will be held from February 21 through the New Zealand vs Pakistan match in Colombo and will be concluded on March 1, through the India vs West Indies match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Though, there is a lot of hype around the India vs South Africa match, which will be arranged on February 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Schedule confirmed after Pakistan vs Namibia T20 World Cup 2026 group match
The full schedule of the Round of 8 of the ongoing T20 World Cup was on hold because of the Pakistan vs Namibia match. Pakistan put themselves in a difficult situation after being defeated by their archrivals, India. Today’s (February 18) match against Namibia became a must-win contest for the Salman Ali Agha-led team.
As soon as Pakistan emerged victorious from the do-or-die situation, the fixtures for the next round were published. Pakistan will start their next phase of their campaign on February 21. On this day, they will have to play against a strong New Zealand team in Colombo. Pakistan is placed in Group 2 of the Super 8 along with New Zealand, England, and Sri Lanka.
Brilliant century by Sahibzada Farhan
Against Namibia, Sahibzada Farhan, the Pakistan opener played an unbeaten 100-run innings off 58 balls. His innings was decorated with eleven 4s and four 6s. Skipper Salman Ali Agha was the second highest scorer for the team with 38 off 23. Batting first, Pakistan registered 199 for 3 in 20 overs.
The target was too much for the Namibian batters to chase. The lower-ranked team folded for only 97 runs in exchange for all of their 10 wickets. Pakistan won the match by a huge margin of 102 runs.
