Suryakumar Yadav Used to Message Me a Lot – Khushi Mukherjee
Despite leading India to the Asia Cup title in 2025, Suryakumar Yadav has recently been under scrutiny due to a drop in batting form. Off the field, unexpected comments from Khushi Mukherjee added to the attention around the Indian captain.
Her comments came when Suryakumar was on a personal visit to the Tirupati temple with his wife, Devisha. The right-handed batter has not responded publicly to the matter.
“I don’t want to date any cricketer. Many cricketers are after me. Suryakumar used to message me a lot. We don’t talk much now. I don’t even want my name linked with him. I don’t like news about my link-ups,” she had said.
Suryakumar Aims to Regain Rhythm Ahead of T20 World Cup 2026
Suryakumar Yadav was last seen in action during the five-match T20I series against South Africa at home, where he managed scores of 12, 5, 12 and 5. However, the Men in Blue secured the series victory 3-1.
In 2025, Suryakumar scored only 218 runs in 19 T20I innings at an average of 13.62 and a strike rate of 123.16, without registering a single fifty. At franchise level, however, the 35-year-old looked in complete control.
Playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for Mumbai Indians (MI), he amassed 717 runs in 16 matches at an average of 65.18 and a strike rate of 167.91, including five half-centuries.
The upcoming series against New Zealand is crucial. He is also set to play for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, as he looks to rebuild rhythm and confidence before the World Cup.
