Virat Kohli had just produced one of his finest performances on home soil, smashing a majestic 135 that lifted the entire stadium and reminded fans of his unstoppable aura in ODIs. He stitched a 136-run partnership with Rohit Sharma (57) for the second wicket, and then 76 runs with KL Rahul.

Both KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma smashed brilliant fifties, while Virat Kohli hammered an incredible century to help India post 349/8 on the board against the Proteas side in the first ODI.
KL Rahul displayed his experience brilliantly in the ongoing three-match ODI series opener against South Africa. After a cautious start like Kohli and Rohit, the right-handed batter gradually built his innings and accelerated when needed at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi.
