Everyone expects India to win – Yuvraj Singh
The India Women’s National Cricket Team have never won a World Cup and will get a chance to end the title drought at the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 at home.
India were runners-up in 2005 and 2017, finished third in 2009, seventh in 2013, and fifth in 2022. They have faced many heartbreaks over the years and would finally aim to get their hands on the trophy in 2025. The World Cup will begin on September 30 and conclude on November 2.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj urged the fans to provide immense support to the Women In Blue and motivate them to lift the cup.
“Everyone expects India to win. We should support the women’s team as much as we support the men’s team. The World Cup is being held in India. I urge all fans to come and watch the matches and support our team. We want our girls to win,” Yuvraj told the media as quoted by NDTV Sports.
“The fans are always wanting fours and sixes, or wickets. That’s the game. They come to watch. Fans want entertainment. They want to be entertained. There will be times when things are not going to go well. And that’s the time when the experience, the self-belief, has to take over. The belief that I can be the player at this moment. I think every time you walk in the game, you have to believe that,” he added.
