Zimbabwe Playing XI vs South Africa Playing XI - Match 51, Super 8 Group 1 | ICC T20 World Cup 2026

Zimbabwe will be facing South Africa in the final Super 8 Group 1 match on Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM IST. This will be a dead rubber match as South Africa has already qualified for the semi-finals, after their thumping win by 9 wickets against the West Indies yesterday.

Zimbabwe has been knocked out of the tournament after their back-to-back loss in the Super 8 stages. The Chevrons have been excellent in this tournament and topped their group stages, where they defeated Australia and Sri Lanka. However, they could not continue their run in the Super 8s.

Zimbabwe Playing XI vs South Africa—T20 World Cup 2026:

Openers: Brian Bennett, Tadiwanashe Marumani.

Brian Bennett has been amazing in this tournament, as he has been the leading run scorer for the side and the second-highest scorer in the tournament with 277 runs. He has a batting average of 277.00 and a not-out score of 97, which came last night.

Tadiwanashe Marumani’s form has not been as good as Bennett but he has played his role in the side, scoring decently. He would look to play another supporting innings with Bennett.

Middle-order: Dion Myers, Sikandar Raza (c), Ryan Burl, Tony Munyonga, and Tashinga Musekiwa.

Sikandar Raza has been excellent with the ball and the bat as well. He led the side well and played some remarkable knocks in Sri Lanka. The middle order has not been very much into runs except Raza. They would need to score runs to beat a quality side like South Africa.

Bowlers: Brad Evans, Wellington Masakadza, Graeme Cremer, Blessing Muzarabani.

Blessing Muzarabani has been excellent since the start of the tournament. He has been brilliant with the new ball and the leading wicket-taker for the side, and the second-highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets in the competition. Brad Evans and Graeme Cremer also performed well.

South Africa Playing XI vs Zimbabwe—T20 World Cup 2026:

Openers: Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram.

Quinton de Kock and Aiden Makram has been in excellent form. The latter has been striking at a blistering pace. Markram scored 82* in the last match against the West Indies. Zimbabwe bowlers would like to break the pair of Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram.

Middle-order: Ryan Rickelton, Jason Smith, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs.

Jason Smith might get game time in this match. Ryan Rickelton and David have been in excellent form as they have been controlling the middle overs. Especially the latter has been using all his experience in the major tournament. The Southpaw would like to score a big knock before the semi-final.

Bowlers: Marco Jansen, George Linde, Lungi Ngidi, Keshav Maharaj, and Kwena Maphaka.

Lungi Ngidi has been excellent with the ball, using his pace off deliveries and cutters, which have been lethal. He would be there to put pressure on the opposite side batters. Keshav Maharaj and George Linde might use their experience on a pitch like Delhi, where the ball grips and turns a bit.
