Gautam Gambhir’s experiments make Team India unstable! Ravichandran Ashwin makes shocking accusation

After the setback against South Africa, head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav-led India national cricket team needs to go back to the blackboard to chalk out the solutions, so that they can avoid the same mistakes during their next Super 8 fixture, which will be against Zimbabwe.

There are a lot of talks after India’s 76-run defeat to South Africa. Pundits are raising questions around the management’s strategy. Some of the experts opined that the call to put Axar Patel out of the team harmed the performance of the team.

Ravichandran Ashwin believes that players themselves are capable of finding solutions

Whatever the issues might be, they should be corrected with immediate effect. Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that players themselves are capable of finding out the solutions if there is stability inside the camp.

“It is time to find solutions. We think solutions are made by making changes. No. Players will find solutions themselves if there is stability in the team. We have to keep the environment such that players feel stable and think for themselves and bring in solutions. We cannot think of always making changes. They will go into insecurity otherwise,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel ‘Ash ki Baat’.

Ravichandran Ashwin opines against too many changes in the team

Ashwin is against making too much chopping and changing in the name of finding solutions. Through his statement, the former cricketer mostly put a focus on the environment of a team. He believes that if the team is in a stable form, then the solutions will come out in an easier way.

Questions were raised against Washington Sundar and Tilak Varma. A part of cricket fans and experts suggested the management include Axar Patel in place of Washington Sundar, and axe Tilak Varma to make room for Sanju Samson in the playing combination. Ravichandran Ashwin is not thinking in this way, as too much shuffle or experiments also can damage the team components in a long way.

Stability will not allow these thoughts to come: Ravichandran Ashwin

“At the end of this defeat, I cannot think what they will do. They can think of many things. You have to bring Axar back. Playing in Chennai, they may think of another spinner and Kuldeep. They might think of Sanju Samson, as there are talks about Tilak and Abhishek”, Ashwin said.

“But if we can keep things stable, these thoughts will not come. In such a campaign, I am not saying do not make changes for people who are not in form, but if you keep making changes, there will be doubt within the dressing room,” Ravichandran Ashwin concluded.

India will next face Zimbabwe in their next Super 8 fixture on February 26 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The venue in Chennai is famous for its spin-friendly nature. Will the Indian team management prefer to go with an extra spinner? It will be exciting to see.
