Danish Kaneria tears apart Pakistan cricket and government after shocking U-turn over boycott decision

Danish Kaneria slams BCB

Danish Kaneria trolls Pakistan after making a U-Turn: The India vs Pakistan 2026 T20 World Cup game is finally on the cards after weeks of drama of not taking the field against the reigning champions, after the latter’s federal government decision of boycotting the game failed. After making a U-turn Pakistan Cricket Board and the government have been trolled by former cricketers and pundits.

Among them, former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has shared his views on the U-turn that the PCB has taken and finally given their national cricket team permission to play against their arch-rivals on the 15th February, at the R Premedasa Stadium, Colombo. Kaneria has slammed the U-turn decision of the government and questioned the integrity of the cricket board.

Danish Kaneria mocks the Pakistan Cricket Board

Speaking on his YouTube channel named ‘Danish Kaneria 261’ he said, “Everything has a limit. I had said earlier that this drama will not stop and they will take a U-turn because they are experts in it. I have not seen anyone take a better U-turn than them. The world is laughing at Pakistan, saying that one moment they say one thing and the next they are completely different.”

“What Bangladesh did was a matter between them and the ICC. I don’t understand when Bangladesh has ever helped the PCB in any way. You were making such big statements about boycotting — so what happened now? What suddenly changed that you’re being forced to play?”

Danish Kaneria kept on saying, “There was no point in suddenly announcing a boycott of the game. If you’re taking a decision, at least stick to it. Suddenly making a U-turn and creating a media uproar—saying we did this, we did that—only makes things worse. This matter has escalated to such an extent that it could become a major headache in the future. Right now, I really find the whole situation funny.”

‘Pakistan had to come on the back foot’- Danish Kaneria

Danish Kaneria further added, “Pakistan had also put forward demands for series with India, etc. in the meeting with the ICC. As the pressure increased, the ICC raised the issue of possible ban, huge financial losses, and not giving NOC to foreign players for PSL, the situation became serious for the PCB and because of this, Pakistan had to come on the back foot.”

Kaneria concluded by saying, “Make your stand and then do whatever you want to do. But then to make a U-turn suddenly, to make a mess, to stay in the media all day, 24 hours. We did this, we did that.”

“What did we do? What did you do by saying? What did you do to ICC? Didn’t do anything. Didn’t do anything. It doesn’t even matter. But these matters have increased in this way. See, for the time to come, it will become a headache.”

Will Pakistan come over India?

India vs Pakistan has always been a blockbuster clash for the International Cricket Council (ICC), with two nations alongside the hosts having gained double revenue from the fixture over the years.

Pakistan will look to bounce back as they are winless in their last five encounters with India across all formats and competitions. They have been good in the ongoing competition, winning two out of their two games and would like to finish top of the table.
