A big and serious controversy has broken out ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 after shocking threats were made against the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah and top officials from Pakistan. This has created anger and massive backlash on social media.
Jay Shah’s ICC receives shocking threats before T20 World Cup 2026
The controversy started after a Pakistani YouTuber and actor named Arsalan Naseer uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, which was linked to Pakistan’s decision to boycott their T20 World Cup 2026 match against India, which is scheduled to be played on February 15 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In the video, the Pakistani made extremely offensive and abusive comments against India, the ICC, and the BCCI. He also crossed the line by making personal and disrespectful remarks about India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav in his video.

Our people would blast the ICC office: Pakistani YouTuber
The YouTuber openly spoke about attacking the ICC and made threats related to bombing the ICC office. He said that the only reason ICC officials and Jay Shah, who is also the son of India’s Home Minister Amit Shah, “are safe because the ICC headquarters is in Dubai.”
He went further and claimed that if the ICC office were located in India, it would have been attacked, along with nearby areas, by the Pakistani people. The person also called the current Pakistan government led by Shehbaz Sharif the “Baap” of ICC and India.

IND-PAK boycott backfires? PCB stares at $35 Million loss and a legal storm
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s decision to boycott its T20 World Cup 2026 match against India has created a big problem for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The ICC has reportedly warned PCB that it may face legal action from the official broadcaster, JioStar, because the India vs. Pakistan match is very important for business.
Pakistan took this decision on government orders, but has still not given any written reason to the ICC. So, the ICC may stop Pakistan’s yearly revenue share, which is around 35 million US dollars, and use that money to pay the broadcaster.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi took legal advice before informing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, but the board is now expecting serious trouble. If Pakistan does not agree to play India, it could face heavy fines and even court cases. Pakistan is already playing all matches in Sri Lanka, so there should not be any issue in playing India.
A PCB source was quoted as saying by PTI: “When the ICC signed its four-year deal with the broadcaster for all ICC events, the contract included Pakistan and India matches, based on which the broadcaster made the payments to the ICC. So, the broadcaster will be within its rights to take the PCB and ICC to court over a major breach of the contract.”
