Pakistan, Bangladesh’s suffering will bring joy to Australia, England: India legend makes huge revelation

Pakistan vs Australia Playing XIs

Former India all-rounder Madan Lal directly said that Pakistan has made a wrong move. By boycotting the T20 World Cup 2026 match against India, Pakistan is actually inviting a lot of trouble, Madan Lal said.

The former Indian cricketer believes that the decision to boycott the India vs Pakistan match is a result of a poorly thought-out plan. He made some strong remarks against Pakistan and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

High tides in front of Pakistan

On Sunday, the Government of Pakistan informed that they had decided not to take the ground against India on February 15 in Colombo for their T20 World Cup 2026 group stage match. It is the announcement from the Government of Pakistan. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to rethink their stance. If they continue to stand against the high-octane match, then the council can take the matter on a serious note.

Madan Lal said that the India vs. Pakistan match boycott will not bring any good things for Pakistan. The decision can easily help them to earn distress. Other leading cricket-playing nations like England, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand will gain the benefits in terms of crowds and sponsorships.

Madan Lal said that Pakistan will fall behind

“At the end of the day, Bangladesh is going to suffer, and Pakistan is going to suffer… The main thing is New Zealand, England, South Africa, and Australia are the biggest countries for cricket; they’re going to get the crowds, and they’re going to get all the sponsorship,” Madan Lal said.

The ex-cricketer advises Pakistan to think again. He suggested that to solve any problem, Pakistan needs to think in a proper way. Otherwise, they can damage themselves in a serious way.

Madan Lal and ICC urged Pakistan to rethink about the boycott

“I think the Pakistan government or PCB, they are all damaging their own cricket. It’s not going to solve their problems. Someone has to be there to think right. They are not thinking right at the moment. They want to support Bangladesh. You keep on supporting Bangladesh. That’s not our business,” Madan Lal told ANI.

It was reported that ICC urged Pakistan to reconsider their decision. Boycotting a particular match not only can have an effect on the tournament but also can influence the entire cricket community across the globe.

“The ICC hopes that the PCB will consider the significant and long-term implications for cricket in its own country, as this is likely to impact the global cricket ecosystem, which it is itself a member and beneficiary of,” the highest cricketing body said in a statement.
