The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday, January 14, announced Pakistan’s women’s squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I tour of South Africa. Fatima Sana will continue to lead Pakistan’s women’s team for the upcoming multi-format tour, which is set to start on February 10 in Potchefstroom.
The T20I series will take place from February 10 to 16 in Potchefstroom, Benoni, and Kimberley, with all matches scheduled as day-night games. After the T20Is, Pakistan will play a warm-up match in Kimberley. The ODI series will be played from February 22 to March 1 at Bloemfontein, Centurion, and Durban.
PCB Name Pakistan Women’s Squads for South Africa Tour; Fatima Sana to Continue as Captain
Fatima Sana will continue as captain in both ODIs and T20Is as Pakistan return to action after a disappointing Women’s World Cup 2025. The tour gives the team a chance to reset and prepare for the next major event in England & Wales.
Pakistan have added new faces to the T20I squad. Uncapped batter Saira Jabeen and right-arm pacer Humna Bilal have earned their first international call-ups as the team looks to build depth in the shortest format.
Experienced players Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Tasmia Rubab, and wicketkeeper-batter Najiha Alvi, who missed out on last year’s World Cup selection, have returned to the 50-over setup.
Several players will feature in both formats, including Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, and Tasmia Rubab.
Some players are picked for only one format. Diana Baig, Najiha Alvi, Sadaf Shamas, and Syeda Aroob Shah appear only in the ODI squad. Humna Bilal, Saira Jabeen, Tuba Hassan, and Eyman Fatima are included only in the T20I group.

Pakistan Women to Return to South Africa for Bilateral Series After Five Years
Pakistan’s women’s team will tour South Africa for a bilateral series after five years. Their last bilateral tour there came in January 2021, when they played a three-match ODI series in Durban. Pakistan also played in South Africa during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in February 2023.
Before the tour, the team will attend a training camp in Karachi. The camp will run from February 1 to 6 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, helping the squad prepare before departure.
The team will travel with a full support staff. Wahab Riaz will serve as mentor, while Imran Farhat will work as batting coach. The group also includes coaches for fast bowling, spin, fielding, fitness, along with a performance analyst, team manager, physiotherapist, and media manager.
