Ricky Ponting, Kevin Pietersen PUBLICLY EXECUTE Will Jacks over horrible Sydney Test dismissal

Will Jacks

English and Australian former cricketers have ganged up on Will Jacks, tearing him apart after a shameful dismissal in the second innings of the Sydney Test. Will Jacks has had a very minimal contribution in the series, and his selection as England’s frontline spinner is in itself a portrayal of Brendon McCullum’s weak team tactics.

The Ashes tour to Australia has not been one of the finest tournaments for the English side in recent years. Not only have they lost the first three matches and managed only a lucky win in the fourth, but they have been dominated and humiliated by the Aussies.

One of the main reasons for England’s failure is their over-aggressive batting approach and lack of consistent runs from any batter. Talking of the consistency, Will Jacks, the batting all-rounder for England, has had a very poor outing for the three Lions and has now been blasted for his nonsense approach. ,

Will Jacks was dismissed awfully off Beau Webster’s bowling

England probably managed to bring out their very best with the bat in the final match of the Ashes series. Adapting to the conditions, English players could finally manage to get some of their dominant form back. Harry Brook played well across both innings, while Joe Root scored a second hundred of the series, and youngster Jacob Bethell managed a maiden first-class century here.

However, despite Bethell’s century, the English innings came crumbling down with the dismissal of vice-captain Harry Brook. Ben Stokes had once pointed out that England had failed to hold on to high-pressure moments when they were in the driving seat in this series, and that was evident at the SCG.

Will Jacks was promoted up the order to bat at no. 6; however, the batter was dismissed after two balls as he picked out a man in the off while attempting to take down Beau Webster’s off-spin. Jamie Smith got off to a start once again but failed to convert, and skipper Ben Stokes too soon followed with just a run.

Australian and English legends join hands to shame Jacks after his horrible show

After Jack’s dismissal in one of the most horrible fashions, he was fired with hostile criticism. Will Jacks was probably promoted with the plan to accelerate the innings, and hence, his approach is unquestionable, but since it failed, now it looks to be a total massacre.

Alex Hartley quickly turned hostile after Jack’s dismissal as she bluntly said, “I have seen some stupidity in this series. That is right up there.”

Former England great Kevin Pietersen also made a scathing attack on the batter as he claimed to have woken up and seen Jack’s dismissal, and was in total dismay. Though the English great also praised Jacob Bethell’s innings with pride.

Ricky Ponting questioned Will Jacks as to how he walked back into that English dressing room after the horrible show at such a crucial juncture of the game.

Australia on the verge of another win in the Ashes

The Aussies are advancing to another massive win in the Ashes series. They already managed to secure the title with three consecutive wins first up, but then failed to keep the winning streak at the MCG, a pitch that was later deemed unsatisfactory to play on.

Steve Smith, who led Australia to two of their first three wins in this Ashes, scored a century alongside opener Travis Head, who completed 500 runs in this series with his third century. England are on the verge of being bowled out with a lead not exceeding 119 runs.

However, the only ray of hope remains in the form of centurion Jacob Bethell, who is unbeaten on Day 4 with 142 runs.
