Drama boiled over in the U19 Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan as Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ali Raza were involved in an ugly fight at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Sunday, December 21.
On the fifth over of India’s chase, Pakistan bowler Ali Raza bowled a short ball that was slightly angled across Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 14-year-old tried to hit the rising ball in the air despite not having space to adjust his shot. The ball hit the edge of his bat and went up in the air.

Pakistan crush India by 191 runs to win U19 Asia Cup 2025 in dominant style
Meanwhile, Pakistan displayed a near-perfect performance to win the U19 Asia Cup 2025 final and lift the trophy for the first time since 2013. They looked in control right from the start and clearly outplayed India in every department in the summit clash.
After being sent out to bat first in Dubai, Pakistan piled up a huge 347 for 8. Sameer Minhas was the star of the show, as he completely dominated the Indian bowlers and struck a brilliant knock of 173 runs. He had almost won half the battle for his team on Sunday.
India started their chase with some intent, scoring 32 runs in the first two overs, but everything changed when captain Ayush Mhatre got out in the third over. From that point on, the pressure started to build. With the run rate climbing fast, Indian batters tried to attack but kept losing wickets.
By the end of the powerplay, India was already struggling at 68 for 5. There were no solid partnerships, and they kept collapsing. Deepesh Devendran delayed the end slightly with the blistering cameo of 36 runs off 16 balls, but Pakistan had already sealed the game. Pakistan eventually bowled India out for 156 runs to register a huge win of 191 runs and lift the trophy.
